The "Sverchok" unmanned rover has been developed in Kazan for the Russian military. The platform is designed for evacuating the wounded and delivering cargo, including ammunition. This was reported by the "People's Front."
The "Sverchok" is capable of carrying more than 130 kilograms of cargo and develops a maximum speed of up to 25 kilometers per hour. The platform allows remote operation — at a distance of more than 10 kilometers from the operator. The designers chose a wheeled chassis instead of a tracked one to increase speed and reduce energy consumption.
Independent suspension and high ground clearance ensure high cross-country ability and smooth running, as far as possible, which, in turn, reduces the risk of displacement when evacuating the wounded with fractures. Ordinary army stretchers are installed on top of the rover, the wounded soldier is loaded from above, horizontally, and the operator simply transports him to the green zone.
The "Kulybin Club" of the "People's Front" noted that the project team had refined the basic design. Now the military will receive an upgraded version of the platform with six wheels.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the "Depesha" robot delivered a bomb directly to the enemy's stronghold.
