Yak-130M Light Fighter Combat Equipment Revealed: 130R Airborne Radar Will Detect a Tank at 35 km

URVB R-77-1 Missiles Will Intercept Targets at a Range of 100 km

The Yakovlev company in Irkutsk has begun assembling the first three pre-production models of the advanced Yak-130M combat training aircraft. Military expert Evgeny Damantsev explained what combat equipment the aircraft will receive.

According to him, the aircraft will be equipped with 130R airborne radar systems (RLS) capable of operating in "air-to-air" and "air-to-surface" modes.

The complex can detect aerial targets with an effective reflecting surface of 0.1 m² at a distance of 35 - 40 km against the background of airspace and 20 - 27 km against the background of the earth's surface.

Ground targets of the "tank/BMP" type are detected at a distance of up to 35 km. The weapon control system of the vehicles is adapted to the use of URVB R-77-1, providing the possibility of long-range interception and close air combat at distances up to 100 km. Ground targets can be hit by Kh-38MA and Kh-39 LMUR tactical missiles.

The Yak-130M can also be equipped with 80-mm guided rockets S-8L from the Kalashnikov concern.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Forpost-RU drone will receive small-sized radars for guiding Kalibrs and loitering munitions.
