Like a Lego constructor: Russian self-propelled gun "Malva" received a new gun

Ozdoyev spoke about the adaptability of military technologies

Rostec has built an effective feedback system with the military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces. Specialists take into account feedback on equipment that has been battle-tested and refine it. This was stated by the industrial director of the cluster of weapons, ammunition and special chemistry of the state corporation, Bekhan Ozdoyev.

This allows us to quickly transform and scale technologies. Like a Lego constructor, we adapt weapons to current needs.

This is "adaptability of military technologies," he explained. As an example, Ozdoyev cited the 2S43 Malva self-propelled artillery gun (SPG).

The new wheeled gun "Hyacinth-K", designed based on the results of the combat use of the "Malva" artillery systems. Rostec developers have combined the wheeled base of "Malva" with another version of the gun.

Thanks to this arrangement, it is possible to significantly increase the fleet of wheeled artillery, he summarized.

2S43 "Malva" — a complex on the chassis of the BAZ-6910-027 "Voshchina" vehicle. Equipped with a 152 mm 2A64 rifled howitzer. The developers abandoned the turret, making the self-propelled gun lighter. It can be transferred to the place of operation by Il-76 military transport aircraft.
