The Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter can be equipped with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile at the expense of the aircraft's stealth capabilities. This was stated by Vladimir Popov, a respected military pilot of Russia, retired Major General.
I think the Su-57 will be able to carry the Kinzhal. But the fact is that it loses the element of stealth here. That is why, most likely, we are not placing a container for the Kinzhal complex on the Su-57. I assume that tests are underway of a Kinzhal variant specifically for the fighter.
Popov added that with the Kinzhal on an external mount, the radar signature of the Su-57 will decrease to the level of fourth-generation aircraft. According to him, the new weapon will make the Russian fighter a more convenient target for the radars of a hypothetical enemy.
