AI-powered audio announcements to be tested on the Red Line

In 2025, the Sokolnicheskaya line of the Moscow Metro will test an audio announcement system using artificial intelligence. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, Maxim Liksutov.

In 2025, we plan to test audio announcements on the Sokolnicheskaya line using a neural voice based on the voices of the current Moscow Transport announcers.

Liksutov said that interactive navigation elements are planned to be installed at the new "digital" stations of the Moscow Metro next year. They will be located on the third section of the Troitskaya line and will operate on the principle of digital transport facilities opened this year.

According to the Deputy Mayor, one of the key requirements for a modern transport system is friendliness and willingness to help. He stressed that the city strives to ensure that every passenger feels care and attention, and that transport is able to adapt to people's needs.

Liksutov added that modern technologies are being used at the first "digital" stations in Russia - "Maryina Roshcha" on the Big Circle Line and MCD "Nizhegorodskaya". Their main advantage is the ability to quickly update information and display only the data that is relevant to passengers at the moment.

Earlier, www1.ru showed a scheme for the development of the Moscow Metro until 2035. The updated development plans for the capital's metro include a number of large-scale changes in the city's transport infrastructure. Among them are the extension of the Sokolnicheskaya line to the south to Shcherbinka and to the north to the Los platform, as well as the construction of an extension of the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya line from the "Ilyinskaya" station towards Krasnogorsk. Special attention is paid to the development of the metro in TiNAO.
