Нехватка спецтехники осложняет усилия волонтеров по очистке пляжей Анапы от мазута, разлившегося после крушения танкеров

According to the latest data, 366 units of equipment are involved

After a recent storm, the coast of Anapa was again contaminated with fuel oil, which significantly complicated the work of volunteers to clean the beaches. The main problem is the lack of specialized equipment needed for the rapid collection and removal of contaminated sand and debris.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 1031 people and 366 units of equipment are involved in cleaning the beaches of Anapa. The work was temporarily suspended the day before due to bad weather.

Volunteers and journalists on the ground claim that additional equipment is needed to effectively clean the coast, in particular tractors with buckets and trucks, such as KamAZ trucks. Without this equipment, the efforts of volunteers are insufficient to fully restore the beaches. According to Telegram channels, some boarding houses and hotels located near the contaminated areas are ordering equipment for cleaning at their own expense. However, this is clearly not enough to cope with the scale of the pollution.

The company "Avito" promised to provide the necessary special equipment and provide housing for volunteers who are helping to restore the Black Sea coast after the oil spill. "Avito Special Equipment" will send 10 excavator-loaders to the scene.

The crash of two tankers with fuel oil on December 15 led to the pollution of Anapa beaches along 54 kilometers of coastline. Volunteers, as well as emergency services, are making every effort to clean the area and rescue injured animals. The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory said that the cleaning work may take up to a month. However, local entrepreneurs and residents are concerned that the beaches may not be ready for the start of the season.
