Alexey Yuretsky, CEO of Geoscan, shared in an interview what share of the company's turnover comes from the state civil order for drones.
It was recently reported that the entire SCO amounted to about 6 billion rubles. Geoscan accounts for most of it in quantitative terms (more than 2 thousand units), in financial terms, probably about 40% (2.4 billion rubles). Our entire line of industrial UAVs is involved in the order. In addition to the state order for the STLC as a single customer, we carried out other deliveries under the national project — through the Ministry of Education. This is also a significant volume, another about 2 billion rubles. We have already fulfilled all obligations, albeit with a slight delay.
The head of the company also explained why the company made a discount on the SCO.
A discount for volume is a generally accepted element of competitive struggle. And this is useful for us: we strive to make equipment in Russia that competes with Chinese equipment in all parameters. So that the customer does not have the question of why he should buy a domestic product several times more expensive. A large state order is a step in this direction, it is an opportunity to learn how to work on a large series, a way out of the vicious circle. We learned to make it cheaper on this volume.
