Assembly of a pilot batch of BELAZ-75304 mining dump trucks has started at the BELAZ plant in Zhodino. In October, 20 new engines from the Kolomna plant with a capacity of 2,400 hp were delivered from Russia for them.
The huge machines with a payload capacity of 220 tons consist almost entirely of components manufactured in the Union State.
The operation of the experimental BELAZ-75304 with a medium-speed eight-cylinder diesel generator 16-36DG began in Kuzbass back in 2023. By the fall of 2024, three more similar giant dump trucks with domestic engines were assembled.
The 16-36DG engine-generator was developed specifically for use in the design of mining equipment. It meets all modern requirements for specific fuel consumption and power, requires lower repair and maintenance costs compared to imported engines, and has a longer service life.
The total weight of the BELAZ-75304 with cargo exceeds 380 tons. The length of the machine is more than 13 m, the height is 6.7 m, and the width is 9 m. The truck is capable of accelerating to 43 km/h.
