Footage has emerged online showing the combat operations of a mixed flight of Su-25SM3 and Su-25SM attack aircraft. They approached the launch lines for S-8KOM unguided rockets in pairs to strike enemy strongholds.
The modernized Su-25SM3s performed more accurately thanks to the advanced SUO-39 fire control system with more sophisticated ballistic computers.
The crews of the Su-25SM3s in the mixed flights were also tasked with creating active noise, barrage, masking, and diverting interference for enemy SAM radars, including the MPQ-64F1 of NASAMS systems, the 9S35M1 of Buk-M1 systems, and the 30N6 of S-300PS SAM systems.
For this purpose, L-370-3S containerized electronic warfare systems from the Vitebsk-25 onboard defense systems are mounted on the Su-25SM3's hardpoints.
The aircraft also deploy infrared flares to minimize the probability of capture by the IR seeker heads of IRIS-T SLS and IR-ASRAAM missiles.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia has begun developing engines for a domestic reusable super-light rocket.
