"The troops are waiting for the products": Kirov plant "Mayak" will build a galvanizing workshop

New equipment will appear on an area of almost 2,500 square meters

Specialists of the "Kirov plant "Mayak" (part of the "Kalashnikov" concern) have begun to pour the foundation of a new electroplating workshop. With its commissioning, the company will significantly increase the volume of production. This was reported by the press service of the concern.

As explained in the press service, the workshop will be located on an area of about 2,500 square meters. Modern high-performance and environmentally friendly electroplating equipment will be installed here.

Our task at the new facility is to ensure strict compliance with the construction schedule. According to the plan, the building should be erected by June 2025. We must meet this deadline, because our products are awaited by military personnel in units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Viktor Zhilkin, General Director of PJSC "Kirov Plant "Mayak"

The plant currently has 3 main production facilities: procurement, mechanical, and assembly. They provide a complete technological cycle of product manufacturing – from receiving the workpiece of parts to high-precision assembly and testing.

In the summer, "Mayak" presented an upgraded remote wired control device for a launcher of anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs) at the international forum "Army-2024". Foreign customers showed great interest in the company's exposition.
