Росатом и МИФИ объединят усилия для подготовки специалистов в области атомной энергетики будущего

The parties plan joint research and development work

National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and JSC "Proryv" signed a cooperation agreement at the Congress of Young Scientists in Sirius. It will allow students and graduates of the educational institution to intern and work in the organizations of the "Proryv" project, implemented by Rosatom.

The signed document allows integrating the scientific and educational potential of the university with the state corporation's project. Thanks to this, the training programs for a new generation of specialists in the field of nuclear energy will be updated.

The parties plan joint research, development and design work, the creation of scientific and technical laboratories on the basis of NRNU MEPhI and the active involvement of students, graduate students and young scientists in scientific and production processes.

Special attention is planned to be paid to the development of a long-term program for training highly qualified personnel for the new nuclear energy, as well as accelerating the implementation of research results at the project facilities.

It should be reminded that "Proryv" aims to create a new technological platform for nuclear energy. It is based on a closed nuclear fuel cycle and the use of fast neutron reactors. As part of the project, an experimental demonstration power complex is being created in Seversk, on the basis of the Siberian Chemical Combine.
