Red Wings airline has received a Superjet 100 aircraft manufactured in 2024. Equipped with Franco-Russian SaM146 engines, the aircraft accommodates 100 passengers in economy class only and will begin flights on November 28.
The aircraft's base airport will be Yekaterinburg's «Koltsovo.» The aircraft with tail number 95228 was transferred to the carrier under an agreement with OOO «Aviaproflizing,» according to the register of notifications of pledge of movable property.
Prior to this, the last time a commercial delivery of the SJ-100 was reported was at the end of 2023: the aircraft with tail number 95227 was received by the airline «Azimuth.» The deal was made through «Aviaproflizing.»
Red Wings is among the largest Russian airlines. The carrier's fleet, in addition to regional Superjet 100s, consists of two Tu-204/214s and three long-haul Boeing 777s. The company also has eight Airbus A320/321s.
