ОСК не собирается продавать Балтийский завод Росатому

The company is the customer for the icebreaker fleet line

The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) is not going to sell the Baltic Shipyard to Rosatom, said Andrey Puchkov, General Director of USC. According to him, the state corporation for atomic energy is the customer for the icebreaker fleet line.

Regarding the Baltic Shipyard, we proceed from the fact that it remains within the USC perimeter and its production program is determined by us — naturally, in the interests of our customers.
Andrey Puchkov, General Director of USC

USC is actively discussing issues related to the provision of ships on the Northern Sea Route.

Former head of USC, Alexey Rakhmanov, stated in January 2023 that the corporation plans to transfer 51% of the shares of the Baltic Shipyard to the state corporation Rosatom. He explained this by the fact that 90% of the Baltic Shipyard's workload is provided by orders from Rosatom.

Earlier, Puchkov reported that the United Shipbuilding Corporation may not have enough funds to complete the construction of ships. The deficit may amount to slightly more than 1 trillion rubles. According to Puchkov, the main problem is that the contract price is lower than the cost of production.
