KMZ has successfully tested the new high-speed and maneuverable naval boat RX-1173. This vessel of Project 10280 is part of a major contract of KMZ for the construction of 199 multi-purpose boats for the Russian EMERCOM with a total cost of 2.76 billion rubles.
In addition to the high-speed all-weather boats RX-1173, the vessels that KMZ will build under the contract include the patrol boats PK-500 and RPK-640 . However, according to representatives of the holding, RX-1173 «incorporates the best solutions and technologies available at KMZ».
The boat's sea trials went perfectly. It maneuvered excellently and felt confident on the water. During the tests, the boat reached a speed of 90 km/h.
The boat's advantages over other models allow KMZ to count on expanding supplies for all special purpose services in Russia.
Boat RX-1173 of Project 10280
The boat RX-1173 «Adventure 12» of Project 10280 is designed for search and rescue operations, patrolling, and official travel functions in inland waters and territorial seas. It is built using stealth technology in accordance with the rules for reducing radar detection and can be operated in water basins of the «M-SP» category.
According to KMZ, this new model uses technical solutions that have significantly reduced engine noise and increased comfort during transit. In particular, passenger seats are equipped with new KMS-Comfort seats, which allow passengers to sleep on the go.
