Авторынок съезжает с пика: спрос на новые машины в России начал падать

Sales of passenger cars fell by a quarter in just one week

In November, as expected, the market for new passenger cars saw a decrease in demand after the increase in the recycling fee. In just one week, sales of new cars fell by a quarter.

This trend is particularly noticeable in Moscow, where the market decreased by 42.4% compared to the previous week and by 22.6% year-on-year. However, experts predict that the market will still show significant growth by the end of the year.

According to Avtostat, sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) decreased by 26.4% to 2.42 thousand units. Truck sales decreased by 24.3% to 2.07 thousand units. The number of passenger cars sold fell by 24.6% to 27.23 thousand.

Sergey Udalov, a representative of Avtostat, says that the market is experiencing an expected decrease in demand after its sharp increase in September and October, when people tried to buy cars imported before the increase in the recycling fee, that is, at a lower price.

According to experts, a decrease in the number of cars sold to 100 thousand units is expected in the third month of autumn, which is 71% less than in October.

According to the sales results for the week from November 4 to 10, the leader remains Lada Granta - 3.5 thousand units were sold. In second place is Lada Vesta with a result of 2 thousand units. The third line is occupied by the Chinese crossover Haval Jolion - 1.2 thousand units.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a study showed that Lada cars are most often chosen by women: 51% of all owners of this brand are women. The average age of drivers is 42 years. The main regions where there is high demand for cars are Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Volga region.
