Russian Orlan unmanned aerial systems may begin to be produced in the territory of partner countries as part of technological cooperation. This was announced by Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport.
According to him, the systems have shown their high efficiency in real combat conditions, so the demand for them is very high. The manufacturer of the systems is the Special Technological Center (STC).
The demand for Orlan-10E and Orlan-30 reconnaissance UAVs is indeed high. They solve the tasks of aerial reconnaissance in tactical depth using a wide range of technical means. Orlan-30 is also used for targeting high-precision guided munitions.
Mikheev added that today Orlans are successfully operated in more than 20 countries around the world. New contracts are on the way. Partners in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa, and the CIS countries are showing interest.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Western countries will not be able to catch up with Russia in the development of hypersonic technologies. This opinion was expressed by Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute."
