The themed "Far Eastern Express" can be seen in the Moscow Metro from November 1st. It introduces passengers to the history, economy, and promising development directions of the Far Eastern subjects. One of the main directions of the region is aviation.
Thus, the LMS-901 "Baikal" adorns the themed carriage. This light multi-purpose aircraft, which will soon be produced, is awaited not only in the Far East, but throughout Russia. According to the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the capacity of the UZGA is not yet sufficient to meet the demand for new Baikal aircraft. But, despite this, and other difficulties, the first five new aircraft will be delivered as early as 2026.
Inside, passengers can see the main domestic airliner for regional transportation, the SJ-100, which is currently actively preparing for certification in an import-substituted version.
The first fully import-substituted SJ-100 has already undergone frequency tests. The timing of its first flight in the air depends on the supply of domestic PD-8 engines, which are now being urgently refined.
Finally, the pride of Russian military aviation is also captured on the metro train: Su-57. Currently, this multi-functional fifth-generation fighter is the most tested fifth-generation fighter in the world in real combat conditions.
The train will run on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line until April 30, 2025.
