Shareholders of "Rosbank" and "TBank" (formerly known as "Tinkoff") have decided to merge the two credit institutions. This was reported by the credit organizations.
Within three working days, "TBank" must notify the Department of Admission and Termination of Activities of Financial Organizations of the Central Bank of Russia about the start of the reorganization procedure.
The merged credit institution will retain only one banking license, and the integration process is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.
To join "Rosbank", "TBank" will conduct an additional share issue for the amount of 3 billion rubles, placing 300 million shares with a nominal value of 10 rubles each.
It is worth recalling that "Rosbank" was founded in 1994. Until 1998, it was called AKB "Nezavisimost". In October 2019, it was included by the Bank of Russia in the list of systemically important credit organizations in the country. "TBank" was founded in 2005.
Earlier www1.ru wrote about how Tinkoff Bank became TBank.
