Мал, да удал: разработан новый российский FPV-дрон «Пиранья 5»

The drone, just over 12 cm in diameter, is suitable for storming objects with limited space and training operators

The Piranha Design Bureau has a new development: the fast and maneuverable FPV drone "Piranha 5". Its size is just over 12 cm in diameter, its weight is only 300 g, and its speed reaches 220 km/h.

As the public relations manager of the Piranha Design Bureau told Izvestia, the "Piranha 5" will help prepare future operators of copter-type UAVs and FPV drones. The drone's maneuverability and speed make it possible to quickly learn the basics of piloting in different conditions, and the simple design will facilitate repair training.

On the front lines, the "Piranha 5" drone can be used when assault groups are working in confined spaces: it makes its way into window and doorways, and basement premises.

Despite its modest weight and size, the UAV can lift a 1.5 kg battery, which is used for the "Piranha 10" FPV drone. And its payload reaches approximately 1 kg. Although such drones usually lift 200–400 grams.
