Водородный КамАЗ «Чистогор» протестируют до конца года: новые фото

The truck is capable of traveling up to 500 kilometers on a single battery charge

During the international conference on hydrogen energy, which took place on October 23–24 in Moscow, PJSC "KAMAZ" and AFC "Sistema" presented the KAMAZ-53193 "Chistogor" truck, equipped with a hydrogen engine. By the end of the year, the car will be tested at the training ground, and then released on the roads.

KAMAZ-53193 "Chistogor" is a truck that runs on hydrogen fuel. Thanks to this, it can travel up to 500 kilometers on a single refueling, while its carrying capacity is more than 20 tons.

It is expected that fuel cells made in Russia will be installed in hydrogen-powered vehicles. The production of these elements will be established next year.

The creation of trucks operating on hydrogen fuel cells is one of the most promising areas. Such vehicles are capable of traveling much greater distances on a single refueling compared to electric vehicles, while the refueling process itself takes no more than 5–6 minutes.

In the near future, the company intends to increase the range of "Chistogor" on a single refueling to 1000 kilometers.

As a reminder, in June 2020, KamAZ presented an electric garbage truck, which received the index 53198 and the name "Chistogor".

In the first half of October, KAMAZ showed a prototype of a hydrogen truck. The car will be sent to the Dmitrovsky test site, where tests will be carried out.

Earlier www1.ru reported that KAMAZ is switching to unmanned, hydrogen and electric vehicles. Updates are expected for both existing lines and the entire range of products of the auto concern
