Airborne troops and special forces units are using special protected light-class transport vehicles "Sarmat-3" on the front line.
The armored vehicles have a 4x4 wheel arrangement. Combat weight is 3 500 kg, capable of carrying 900 kg of cargo. The length of the vehicle is 3 900 mm, height is 1 800 mm, width is 2 000 mm.
Engine - diesel, 4-cylinder, power - 150 hp. Fuel range - 500 km, crew - 4 people.
The armored vehicle provides for the possibility of installing various weapons: 30-mm automatic grenade launchers AGS-17 or "Kornet" anti-tank missile systems, as well as 7.62-mm PKM and 12.7-mm "Kord" machine guns.
If the basic version has an open rear cargo compartment, then the medical "Sarmat-3ME" already has a fully enclosed body, where two wounded can be transported on stretchers.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian soldiers have learned to effectively destroy heavy enemy drones "Baba Yaga". They ram them with FPV drones.
