ЛОМО запускает производство телескопа для малых космических аппаратов

A new prototype of a high-resolution Earth remote sensing system has been developed in collaboration with the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

JSC "LOMO" (Kalashnikov Concern), in collaboration with the Space Research Institute (IKI), has developed a prototype of a compact high-resolution Earth remote sensing (ERS) system for small spacecraft (SSC). This system is based on a Ritchey-Chrétien mirror-lens optical scheme and is designed for frame-by-frame shooting. The diameter of the main mirror is 334 mm, and the length of the telescope is 700 mm. Currently, work is underway to manufacture a prototype of this product.

LOMO and IKI RAS are actively interacting with manufacturers of ERS spacecraft, such as RCC Progress (Samara), VNIIEM (Moscow), and RSC Energia (Korolev, Moscow Region). These companies are interested in installing the developed telescope on board promising small spacecraft.

The collaboration between LOMO and IKI RAS will allow building an effective scheme for manufacturing and testing competitive equipment for small spacecraft engaged in Earth remote sensing. SSCs for ERS are an important and promising area of development of space technologies, opening up new opportunities in the provision of remote sensing data. They are indispensable in solving urgent tasks, such as monitoring emergencies and natural disasters.
