In Yekaterinburg, a collector has put up a unique Volga car for sale. The car was made for the needs of the KGB and differed from those cars that were available to ordinary Soviet citizens. We tell you more.
There were no external changes to the car. Inside, everything is also standard: three pedals, a manual gearbox, but this is all for show. If you look under the hood, you can find not a standard Volga engine, but a 5.5-liter engine with a capacity of 195 horsepower. The gearbox is automatic.
The regular Volga GAZ-24 had a 2.4-liter engine with 90 horsepower and a manual gearbox.
The seller claims that the Volga for the needs of the KGB is in excellent condition. A complete restoration has been carried out. According to him, the car "will be registered by itself." A resident of Yekaterinburg is asking 5.5 million rubles for the Chekist Volga.
Note that a similar car was recently sold in the city of Georgievsk. The car needed serious restoration. They asked for 2.7 million rubles for it.
