The first experimental musical road in the country has opened in Belarus. According to the regional Telegram channel "Sozhsky Forpost", the official source of information for the internal affairs bodies of the Gomel region, a 500-meter section was opened by RUE "Gomelavtodor" and the State Traffic Inspectorate on the "Bobruisk — Mozyr — border of Ukraine" highway.
The musical road operates at the entrance to the Gomel region from the side of Bobruisk, the main task of the innovation is to prevent accidents due to falling asleep at the wheel and driving into a ditch due to loss of control. When the driver enters a section of special markings on the lane in the right lane, on which transverse lines of red color made of cold-applied plastic are applied in a special way, a loud noise effect is created in the car's cabin. It resembles the melody of the song "Belorussia" performed by the "Pesnyary" group. If the driver was sleeping, he will wake up immediately, and an accident can be avoided.
Earlier it became known that a similar initiative wants to try to reduce accidents in Russia and Avtodor. By the end of 2024, experimental musical markings will be applied on one of the sections of the M-11 highway.
