Russian manufacturer of hidden armored vehicles "BLAZAR" has refined the Chinese sedan Hongqi H9 from FAW, which is quite well-known in Russia. The resulting armored car was shown to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov and the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov at an exhibition in Naberezhnye Chelny.
According to the developers, the luxury representative sedan has retained all factory functions. The Hongqi H9 has acquired a modified suspension for increased weight — from 1875 kg to 2810 kg — and reinforced springs, and received:
- BR-4 armor class — the thickness of the steel armor of the car is 6.5mm;
- bullet traps and reinforced hinges in door openings;
- reinforced tires and fuel tank protection;
- glass with a thickness of 39 mm — it can withstand shelling with a caliber of 7.62x39 mm, that is, for example, shelling from a Kalashnikov assault rifle;
- a strong reliable bottom that can withstand explosions of two F-1, RGD-5 hand grenades.
This is the first armored Chinese sedan in Russia.
