Mandatory state certification of anti-icing protection (AIP) operators started on September 1. The first AIP operator certificate in the history of Russia, according to the press service of Rosaviatsiya, went to JSC "International Airport Kurumoch." This is the operator of the Samara air harbor (Kurumoch airport, ICAO code - UWWW).
During the on-site inspection, Rosaviatsiya specialists confirmed that the company can ensure safety and quality at all stages of work with anti-icing fluids: receiving and storing special equipment, cleaning aircraft from snow and ice, and carrying out their anti-icing protection. Operators throughout Russia must undergo such an inspection.
More than 80 anti-icing protection operators will have to undergo mandatory certification. A schedule of company inspections has been developed. This procedure will ensure a high level of control of anti-icing protection operators at airports, which will directly affect the increase in flight safety.
The issuance of an AIP operator certificate is included in the list of Rosaviatsiya's public services. To obtain such a certificate, you can submit documents through "Gosuslugi."
Earlier this summer, it became known that MAI began testing promising new anti-icing coatings for Russian aircraft. They have never been used in Russian aircraft construction before.
