LADA cars undergo special tests before leaving the assembly line and being sent to dealers. One of them is a tightness test in a special rain chamber.
Are the doors well fitted, are the seals installed correctly, and is the body sealant applied properly? The simplest test – the rain chamber – helps to check these aspects of quality.
Cars passing through the chamber are literally showered with water, as if the cars have been caught in a heavy downpour. Then the cars are dried. AvtoVAZ claims that the amount of water poured on the cars is equivalent to rain in the Amazon delta.
It is worth noting that in the comments under the publication in the LADA community's VKontakte group, car owners began to complain about water leaks after rain. One of them said that after washing, water leaked into the cabin through the decorative mirror cover. Another attached photos showing water inside the cabin, and a third complained about a wet ceiling in the trunk area. In addition, the owner of a LADA Niva Travel reported problems. Water entered the car's cabin due to the lack of a storm valve under the windshield cowl. The group's moderators advised owners to point out the problems to an official dealer or write a complaint through a special form on the LADA website.
Earlier www1.ru wrote that due to noise insulation problems in the doors of a year-old LADA Vesta, water began to accumulate. There was an unpleasant smell and electrical problems.
