Новая установка электронно-лучевой сварки для выпуска авиадвигателей заработала в Москве

It welds parts in a vacuum several times faster than the previous equipment

The machine, which appeared at the Moscow-based PC Salyut (part of the UEC within the Rostec Group), is capable of performing sequential electron beam welding of six parts at once in a single operation. The parts for rotor assemblies and aircraft engine housings are manufactured in a vacuum.

Specialists have already started welding the first products on the new equipment. According to PC Salyut, creating the vacuum necessary for electron beam welding in the machine takes only a few minutes, instead of 20 minutes as on similar devices of the previous generation. This significantly speeds up the production process.

The company plans to launch several more units of similar equipment, which will perform common tasks in the same technological chain. The operator will only need to write one control program to operate all the equipment.

The innovative machine tool park of PC Salyut will become the basis for the development of industrial capacities.

In 2025, it is planned to merge this production complex and MMP named after V.V. Chernyshev to create the largest aviation engine building center in Moscow.
