Izhevsk Aviation Plant (IAZ, part of the Kalashnikov Group) showcased the SKAT 350 M reconnaissance drone at an exhibition in Izhevsk in honor of Gunsmith's Day. It is already in mass production and is actively used on the front lines.
The drone is designed for aerial surveillance, searching for targets in the IR and optical ranges, and precisely guiding weapons to enemy targets. According to experts, it is one of the leading aerial reconnaissance vehicles for the benefit of customer units.
The group noted that SKAT made it possible to detect various enemy objects, including armored vehicles, ammunition depots, and RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket systems, which were subsequently destroyed.
The maximum take-off weight of the SKAT 350 M complex is 15 kg. The wingspan is 3.2 m, and it can fly for up to 240 minutes, while reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h. The video channel range is 70 to 100 km. The deployment time of the complex is no more than 15 minutes, and it is almost silent.
Earlier it became known that mass production of the Vizir surface drone has started in Russia. It is controlled by artificial intelligence, without the participation of an operator.
