The Moscow Department of Transportation will begin testing parking lots where the parking fee changes depending on the occupancy. Anyone can participate in the tests, which will begin on September 16 and last until the end of the month.
Depending on the location of the parking lot and the time of day, you can park your car for free or for up to 600 rubles per hour. The experiment will be conducted on Ilyinka Street, Rozhdestvensky Boulevard, Tverskaya Zastava and Novaya Squares, and Nikitsky Lane. To participate in the testing of dynamic pricing for parking, you need to apply on the "Moscow Parking" website.
Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, explained that the cost of parking will depend on the occupancy of parking spaces. If the parking lot is not full, it may become free. As the number of cars in the parking lot increases, the rate will increase.
