The Kalashnikov concern will begin developing a defense system against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced by Alan Lushnikov, President of the Kalashnikov concern.
If we talk about dealing with drones, this is a completely new threat, and technical solutions to combat it are in the process of being developed. We need an echeloned defense that will include not only means of destruction, but also reconnaissance, suppression and physical destruction.
According to Alan Lushnikov, the new UAV protection will include guided weapons and smooth-bore guns. He noted that Saiga-12 and MP-155 are currently used to eliminate drones.
