Yandex has digitized over 2,000 km of streets and highways in major cities in southern Russia, including Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, and Sochi.
The updated maps now display over 140 types of markings, including lanes, parking spaces, and safety islands. These details will help drivers better navigate unfamiliar cities and effectively use navigation at interchanges and during maneuvers.
Detailed maps were created using panorama reprojection technology, which allows panoramas to be superimposed on satellite images and provide an up-to-date image of roads. Detailed maps are available in the Yandex Maps and Navigator applications, as well as when connected to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
