АвтоВАЗ раскрыл отличия моторов для LADA Vesta

These are VAZ-21129 and VAZ-21179 engines

The 1.6 and 1.8-liter engines of LADA Vesta cars differ from each other more than it seems. AvtoVAZ revealed the nuances.

The first engine has a variable volume intake module. Its flaps change the intake configuration depending on the engine speed. The second engine, 1.8-liter, is equipped with a gas distribution phase change system. It changes the position of the intake valves depending on the engine speed and load.

The engines are tuned to operate elastically. This means that they should confidently accelerate the car throughout the entire rev range.

As a reminder, the 1.6-liter engine installed on the LADA Vesta is called VAZ-21129. Its power is 106 horsepower. Among the "ailments" of the engine, owners singled out oil consumption and problems with the gas distribution mechanism parts.

The 1.8-liter engine is called VAZ-21179. This is the first VAZ engine with a gas distribution phase regulation system. Oil consumption was also highlighted among its problems, but in Togliatti they managed to defeat it completely last year.
