A specialized mechanical processing complex with a full technological cycle for domestic aircraft construction is planned to be deployed at the site of the State Scientific Center Research Institute of Atomic Reactors (JSC "SSC NIIAR") in the city of Dimitrovgrad, Ulyanovsk region. Components for the wing of the MC-21 aircraft are planned to be manufactured here, said the head of the region, Alexey Russkikh.
We discussed with the management of SSC NIIAR the creation of a specialized mechanical processing complex with a full technological cycle for domestic aircraft construction at the site of the enterprise. Components for the wing of the MC-21 aircraft are planned to be manufactured here by order of Aerocomposite.
Russkikh added that JSC "SSC NIIAR" is currently implementing the first phase of the project. A batch of high-tech equipment has already arrived, employee training is underway, and premises are being renovated.
The Governor noted that the government of the Ulyanovsk region plans to support this project. In the future, the region will initiate work with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation to attract federal funding.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the production rate of import-substituted MC-21 aircraft will be at least three per month. But the determining factors will be the completion of the modernization and the supply of import-substituted aircraft systems.
