Дистанционный демонтаж: специалисты Росатома разрезали 40-метровые краны лазером на ТЭЦ в Кургане

Mobile Laser Complex Used for the First Time

The Mobile Laser Complex (MLC), developed by the Scientific Division of the Rosatom State Corporation, was used for the first time to dismantle decommissioned transfer cranes at a CHP plant in Kurgan. This was reported by the corporation's press service.

Mobile Laser Complex

Two cranes up to 40 meters high and with a lifting capacity of up to 32 tons were located on the site of the Kurgan CHP plant's coal storage facility. The complexity of the dismantling lay in the close proximity of the equipment to the warehouses.

This time, the use of the remote laser cutting method made it possible to carry out the dismantling with surgical precision while complying with safety requirements – the container with the MLC and personnel were located at a distance of up to 100 meters from the object.
Kirill Ilyin, Director of JSC "Science and Innovations"

The MLC is based on serial fiber ytterbium lasers. It is designed for remote laser cutting, including using transport optical fiber.
