The multifunctional tethered aerostat complex "Max" was presented at the exposition of the "Ruselectronics" holding in the Rostec demonstration center at the Army-2024 military forum, which takes place in the Moscow region from August 12 to 14.
The aerostat was developed by specialists from the Dolgoprudny Automation Design Bureau (DKBA). It has a volume of 80 m3 and is filled with helium. "Max" is designed to lift equipment to a specified height for the purpose of construction control, monitoring the situation in water areas, on state borders, transport routes, conducting and relaying communications.
Features of aerostats from DKBA:
- Can stay in the air for up to 10 days
- Capable of holding communication equipment, optoelectronic, radar, radio monitoring, navigation-time and meteorological systems weighing from 300 to 900 kg in the air
- The working height varies within 3km-4.7 km
- Capable of detecting low-flying targets
- Creates a secure communication network with a radius of up to 170 km
