Engineers from Laboratory No. 5 "Digital Unmanned Technologies for Agriculture" at MAI have developed a system that can assess a driver's fatigue level. It reacts to their attempt to fall asleep, leave the vehicle, or cover the camera. The degree of eye closure is analyzed. In this case, light and sound signals are given.
The registration results are recorded on the device's internal memory as text and graphic files, which will then be used to maintain statistics on incidents and other applied tasks.
The system was originally intended to work on agricultural machinery, but later it was decided to use it on other types of transport as well. Testing of "AgroGvard" took place among tram drivers in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. The correctness of the system's operation was confirmed.
Earlier, www1.ru wrote about how buses in Perm monitor the condition of drivers.
