AK-12 is capable of functioning properly without many parts

Russian military correspondents conducted a technical experiment and found out which parts the Kalashnikov AK-12 assault rifle does not need for firing. It turned out that the weapon functions even when almost completely "stripped".

The testers alternately removed technical elements from the assault rifle, but it still continued to function properly. As a result, the weapon was left without a receiver cover, gas tube, pistol grip, magazine, afterburner compensator, and without a handguard, but still continued to fire.

Rostec reminded that the 5.45-mm AK-12 is the main individual small arms of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, possessing increased accuracy and grouping of fire.

Taking into account the experience of combat operations, the updated diopter sight has become more versatile and all-weather: it has a flip-up rear sight with holes of various diameters, which contributes to accurate shooting in conditions of limited visibility, and a lifting cheek is installed for ease of aiming.
