According to Oleg Osipov, General Director of the Beshtau Group of Companies, at the conference "Russian Electronics: Waiting for the Mass Consumer," 1 million microchips will be produced per year. In the future, their number will be increased to 2-2.5 million pieces.
According to him, the company is already packaging about 20-30 thousand chips per month in Rostov-on-Don, and it took three years to train the staff. Now, production will be expanded, investing about 2 billion rubles in it, and gradually increasing capacity.
However, as Osipov explained to ComNews, the production of microprocessors will take place using imported cores.
We bought an already proven core from a foreign vendor. Buying on the Russian market is a bit scary, because none of the market players can confirm that the core was used in a specific chip in this configuration. I wouldn't want to spend a year and a half to get a zero result. As a result, we took some of the components from previous controllers, and bought some more.
There are no other details about this project yet, nor are there any deadlines for the start of expanded production. Detailed information was promised to be announced at INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg in early July.
