President Vladimir Putin has ratified the agreement on the establishment of the International Scientific Russian-Chinese Lunar Station (ILRS). The document has already been published on the legal information portal.
The agreement defines the areas and forms of cooperation, financing, the project implementation plan, and many other issues. The competent bodies responsible for implementing cooperation within the framework of the agreement are the State Corporation for Space Activities "Roscosmos" and the China National Space Administration.
12 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Pakistan, Belarus, and Turkey, are already participating in this Russian-Chinese project. It is also known that representatives from countries unfriendly to Russia may be allowed to work with the ILRS.
