The International Maritime Defense Show "Fleet-2024" in Kronstadt will become a platform for demonstrating the latest ships and submarines of the Russian Navy. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
Among the combat units presented at the exhibition will be two diesel-electric submarines of projects 636.3 and 677, a corvette of project 20380, small missile ships of projects 21631 "Buyan-M" and 22800 "Karakurt".
Also, visitors will be able to see a sea minesweeper of project 12700, a small landing craft on an air cushion of project 12322 (it will head to Kronstadt immediately after successful firing conducted in the Baltic Sea), landing boats of projects 21820 and 11770, an anti-sabotage boat of project 21980, as well as a small hydrographic vessel and a large hydrographic boat.
Launchers of coastal missile systems "Bal" and "Bastion" will be presented on land.
It is reported that spectators will be allowed to the berths of ships, provided that all necessary safety requirements are met and identity documents are checked. On Saturday and Sunday, guests and residents of Kronstadt will be able to freely visit the exhibitions of the IMDS "FLOT-2024". The exhibition will be held from June 19 to 23.
The International Maritime Defense Show includes not only a business, but also a cultural and entertainment program. Visitors will be able to visit the Naval Glory Museum, where the main exhibit will be the first nuclear submarine K-3 "Leninsky Komsomol". In addition, there will be boat races and a children's sailing regatta. Performances by the famous aerobatic team "Russian Knights" will also be organized, which will be a highlight of the show.
Earlier it became known that by the end of 2024, the Russian Navy plans to receive a new submarine "Velikiye Luki" of project 677 "Lada" with Kalibr cruise missiles in its arsenal.
