Мошенники в России стали получать доступ к «Госуслугам» с помощью старых SIM-карт

DLBI: Hacked "Gosuslugi" Accounts Being Sold on the Darknet

In Russia, scammers have started buying old SIM cards and hacking accounts on "Gosuslugi." This was reported by DLBI (Data Leakage & Breach Intelligence), a data leak detection and darknet monitoring service.

The new scheme works as follows: scammers buy used SIM cards, then recover the password via SMS in the "Gosuslugi" service, banks, and social networks. After that, the hacked accounts are put up for sale on the darknet.

It is impossible to control and disable the linking of services to a mobile number at the operator level, so numbers are put up for sale in the form in which users abandon them.

Experts recommended that Russians monitor the linking of their phone number in services to protect their personal data. If the phone number has changed, it is urgent to update it on all platforms so that scammers cannot access your accounts.

Earlier www1.ru reported that fraudsters found a new way to swindle money from Russians.
