The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated at a meeting with the general director of UAC, Yuri Slyusar, that the region wants to help the aircraft manufacturing corporation with personnel and also provide production sites. He proposed to involve the industrial potential of Donbass.
Pushilin noted that there are people in the republic with the competencies needed by UAC.
We are focused on the development of industry and we see that the structure of our economy is now changing. Given our potential and competencies, we want to be useful. Therefore, we will have the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the areas that can be used to locate certain types of facilities here.
Slyusar noted that the main problem of aircraft construction in Russia is the lack of personnel. He added that UAC will support one of the vocational schools in Mariupol.
We have orders, we have technological equipment, but it is difficult to find the required number of people. We expect that industrial Donbass has retained specialists who worked at industrial enterprises.
