United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) has announced the connection of another 600 machines to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). As a result, its IIoT network will include more than 2,500 machines.
The Rostec press service added that by 2026, the number of machines connected to IIoT will reach 4,000. The industrial Internet of Things helps to organize work with data and creates tools for the rapid implementation of applied solutions, including AI-based applications.
Thanks to continuous monitoring of equipment operation, production loading will increase up to 40%. In addition, machine downtime will be minimized, and repairs will have to be done less often.
Earlier it was reported that the "Marathon-IoT" satellites for the Internet of Things will be launched in 2024.
