The “Schwabe” holding presented its new developments in St. Petersburg at the “Expotechnostrazh” exhibition under the auspices of the government of St. Petersburg and the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops. All of them relate to ensuring the security of society and the state.
The “Rostec” subsidiary brought developments of several types there, which relate to different areas of security. SWIR and “Astron-3V” look the most interesting in terms of detecting people and disguised potentially dangerous objects in difficult conditions.
SWIR is a domestic short-wave infrared camera. “Schwabe” considers this development of the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation NPO “Orion”, which is part of the holding, one of the “most significant projects of recent years” for “Orion”.
SWIR is effective in conditions of poor visibility, in heavily smoky areas, on water, and even in conditions where visibility is zero. It can find victims during emergencies and disasters, as well as “see” disguised objects or people who may pose a threat to society.
The “Astron-3V” from OMKB “Astron” from the holding has a similar but more global task. This optoelectronic complex for long-range all-day surveillance will ensure security at critical infrastructure facilities. It is controlled remotely and is suitable for monitoring the state border, sections of pipelines and power lines.
The developers note that the thermal imaging matrices of “Astron-3V” provide good image detail. They allow you to detect a human figure at a distance of up to 6 kilometers from the entrusted object.
