Increasing the volume of serial assembly of heavy transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A for the benefit of the Russian Ministry of Defense at the branch of "Il" PJSC - Aviastar is impossible without new production facilities and highly qualified personnel. Specialists are also lacking to work within the framework of cooperation on passenger aircraft MC-21, Il-114-300, the UAC press service reported.
The plant will need 2,500 new employees in the next three years. The most sought-after specialists are lathe operators, milling machine operators, CNC machine operators and foremen of production sites.
How the shortage of personnel is being solved
The Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexei Russkikh, noted the importance of social security for hiring new specialists. It is expected that from April 1, 2024, salaries at Aviastar will be indexed by 7.5%. A corporate housing program is in place for employees of the enterprise.

Earlier it was reported that in 2023 UAC assembled only 6 Il-76MD-90A aircraft, and it is necessary to reach a volume of 18 aircraft per year.
