Kazan Helicopter Plant handed over the keys to five multi-purpose Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters under a contract between the holding company "Russian Helicopters" and the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK). Two rotorcraft were received by Komiaviatrans for the needs of the Territorial Center for Disaster Medicine, one helicopter each by Lider, Dalnerechensk Avia and Vityaz-aero.
The heads of Tatarstan and Komi, Rustam Minnikhanov and Vladimir Uiba, and the director of GTLK, Evgeny Dietrich, attended the solemn ceremony of handing over the keys.
Technical characteristics of Mi-8MTV-1
The helicopters can be operated at temperatures from -50 to +50 °C. Mi-8MTV-1 are capable of taking off from unprepared sites. The new machines received special lighting equipment, thanks to which pilots can navigate in poor visibility.
The cabin is designed for 23 passengers or the installation of a medical module. The helicopter has been modified to accommodate additional fuel tanks. The Mi-8MTV-1 has a place for an external suspension for transporting cargo up to 4 tons.
Earlier, the Kazan Helicopter Plant sent Mi-38-4 to the Magadan Region. The rotorcraft covered 6.5 thousand km in 35 hours.
