Ekaterina Cherenkova, co-founder of the computer equipment manufacturing company "Beshtau", told "RadioLotsman" that regulatory measures are already stimulating the use of domestic electronic component base. According to her, for now, the requirements mainly concern individual electronic modules, but their scope will expand – for example, in the automotive industry, a minimum share of Russian components on the board is already being established. Cherenkova considers this approach correct: the industry should develop harmoniously, moving from assembling devices from ready-made parts to using Russian EKB on self-produced boards.

Market participants agree that Russian EKB has ceased to be a story of individual developments, the article notes. Serial components are appearing, their nomenclature is growing, and manufacturers of finished electronics are beginning to incorporate domestic solutions into new products. The next stage is market scaling. For this, it is not enough to expand the catalog: components must be produced in the necessary volumes, meet the requirements of serial production, and be competitive in price and characteristics.

Cherenkova also notes that over the past year, the share of enterprises using domestic EKB has grown. The Russian component base has significantly developed: if earlier resistors were produced almost individually, today they are supplied in tapes and reels suitable for automated surface mount lines. At the same time, localization capabilities strongly depend on the complexity of the product: in keyboards and mice, 90–100% of Russian EKB can be used, whereas in server motherboards, some components cannot be replaced by domestic analogues either now or in the near future.

Thus, complete independence from foreign EKB should not be expected in the near future. As manufacturers' experience shows, in relatively simple devices, localization can already be very deep, while complex electronics still require a large set of components for which domestic analogues are insufficient.
