«Отстали на десятилетия от России»: аналитик объяснил панику на Западе из-за испытаний Россией «Буревестника» и «Посейдона»

Military Expert Marochko: Even the Kinetic Impact of Their Munitions Will Lead to Serious Consequences

According to him, even without the nuclear component, Burevestnik and «Poseidon» are very formidable weapons, since «even the kinetic impact of their munitions leads to serious consequences.»

And if we also take into account nuclear warheads, then this is generally a deadly weapon. So it is no coincidence that panic is now observed in the West, including in the United States, because they are well aware that they are decades behind Russia.

About the tests of «Poseidon»

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces on November 2, announced the successful tests of the autonomous underwater vehicle.

«Poseidon» was launched from a submarine carrier. The newest complex worked «a certain amount of time» on a nuclear power plant, the head of state explained. At the same time, Putin did not disclose the details of the tests.

«Burevestnik» included in Russia's nuclear shield

Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov on October 26 reported to the President about the tests of the 9M730 Burevestnik intercontinental cruise missile. One of the main advantages of the ammunition is its huge power with relatively small dimensions. The nuclear power plant of the Burevestnik is 1000 times smaller than the reactor of a nuclear submarine.

Information about the missile first appeared in 2018. In the West, they were initially skeptical about the new Russian weapon, but after statements about successful testing, they began talking about potential risks.
