Red Wings airline has named the common features of the domestic SJJ-100 aircraft and the Formula 1 car. There are many more than it seems at first glance.
They are very fast. The take-off speed of the SSJ-100 is about 270 km/h. The speed of a Formula 1 racing car is up to 372 km/h, formally higher, but the SSJ-100 really "opens up" at altitude - the cruising speed of the aircraft at altitude is 820 km/h!
Now for the most interesting thing - the SSJ-100, like Formula 1, also has pit stops, or rather, regular maintenance. There are several types of them.
DY-Check and WY-Check - changing wheels and quick refueling. Systems inspected, pressure checked, filters replaced - and back into the sky! Once a day and once a week.
A-Check - the aircraft is sent to the hangar, where engineers perform preventive maintenance on components and assemblies, lubricate the necessary elements and refuel special fluids and gases.
Such a "pit stop" is done once every two months. C-Check - complete disassembly and upgrade. The aircraft is sent to a hangar where literally every detail is checked. It's like taking a car apart to the last bolt and putting it back together. C-Check is done once every few years.
Regular maintenance makes flights safe and "keeps" aircraft in perfect shape, the airline emphasized.
